Army Aviation Command

Army Aviation Command Establishment and Implementation

The Challenge

The client required strategic, operational and business planning, as well as writing and communication capacity, with defence knowledge, to establish the transformation plan, strategy, workforce, governance and processes for the headquarters.

Our Solution

OCRT formed a multi-dimensional team based around 6 industry specialist areas, all with defence experience. Noting the broad list of tasks and the dynamic environment, the project team developed an intimate relationship with Army staff and focused on building a high level of trust early on through the delivery of an agile project schedule.

This approached enabled the project team to pair their specialist skills and industry knowledge, with deep understanding of the clients’ challenges, to produce targeted and robust products. An overview of some of the products delivered include:

  • Strategic writing

  • Operations and governance

  • Strategic Communications and Public Relations

  • Branding

  • Internal Communications

  • Change Management

  • Business intelligence

The Outcome

All strategy, operational and governance requirements were in place to allow for the establishment of Army Aviation Command in Dec 2022. Our solutions assisted in ensuring critical milestones could be achieved in a workforce austere environment. Our team supported the successful implementation the Australian Army’s newest functional command level headquarters.
