Develop and deliver a new website with a focus on automation to support Australian Plays Transform (APT), a not-for-profit organisation.
The Challenge
Australian Plays Transform (APT) is Australia’s national play development, publication and licensing organisation.
APT exists as the result of the merging of two organisations after a review recommended their coming together to survive financially.
Under funded, their existing content management system (CMS), website and business processes were siloed, dated and labour intensive.
Our Solution
OCRT provided pro bono communications, digital transformation and web development services to deliver a new CMS and website through the WordPress platform, optimising processes to leverage automation for a customer first approach, that simultaneously significantly reduced administrative burden to the small team.
Additionally, the team have implemented a new brand identity, and designed the front- end of the website to reflect the company’s modernity.
The Outcome
APT have launched their new site. It is estimated by APT that the work OCRT has delivered will reduce labour by 40-60%. Savings of this proportion offer this small but critical organisation the chance to survive during a period of uncertainty caused by the pandemic.
It will allow them to continue to provide support and important linkages for individual playwrights through to large theatre companies.
This project has seen many changes and difficult circumstances including the client’s staff changing multiple times due to unforeseen reasons, major changes to business operations with significant impact on nearly finalised work, and client priorities shifting due to the need to balance a difficult time of operation with our project requirements.
